About the Region
Regardless
of the season, recreational opportunities abound in Orchard Park.
Chestnut Ridge Park has over 1,200 acres of nature trails, bike
paths, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, playgrounds and picnic
areas. In the winter months, ice skating and snowshoeing are offered
and its hills provide skiing, sledding and toboggan shoots. The
communities principal recreational facility is Yates Park, which
presents an unrivaled setting for residents to relax and enjoy summer
activities. Green Lake, the focal point of the Park, offers a sandy
beach, sailing, swimming and fishing.
Year round activities for residents of all ages are coordinated
by the Orchard Park Recreation Department. Youth and adult swimming,
canoeing, sailing, sports and fitness programs are among the many
opportunities presented. The Boys and Girls Club of Orchard Park

The Orchard Park Historical Society preserves the keepsakes of
Orchard Park's history in the Town of Orchard Park Historical Museum
located in the Jolls House. This Victorian house, built in 1870,
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was the
home and office of Dr. Willard Jolls, a devoted country doctor.
The Society has restored the contents of the doctor's waiting, examining
and medicine rooms, including all his medical equipment, as he last
used them. The museum features an exhibit of Indian artifacts, collections
of military uniforms, dolls, pewter, tools and an unusually complete
collection of spinning and weaving items.

of antique and classic bicycles and memorabilia in the entire world.
